Blog Journal 10

Recently we went went over data collection and discussed how to conduct surveys. I would likely use surveys in my classroom to get feedback from students about certain lectures and activities. Since I would be teaching English, the surveys could have content about whether or not they found a certain writing activity useful. I could also do surveys on which books the students want to read for class each semester. These would be useful ways to receive their input on classroom activities.

Some material I found to be interesting while looking through my classmates blogs is what their experience has been in technology. I also like reading about what my peers thought was challenging in assignments. Reading about what they learned and enjoyed helps me remember some of the skills I have gathered as well. This isn't necessarily a topic, but I love seeing how everyone has designed their blogs to be individual to them.

The technological skill I would like to learn next is probably how to type faster. This doesn't really relate to what we learn in class, but I believe its a very useful skill to have. Before this semester, I had not spent anywhere near this much time typing. Now that I type almost all of my assignments, I see that I am slowly getting better. I could get even faster and more accurate by practicing on a typing program that improves these skills.
